Every one is making changes in their Software's and Websites before arrival of 2021. These changes / Updates are to bring improvements in the system or user experience.
Changes Google Bought in YouTube
Google has also recently made changes in YouTube to improve its user's experience and made private sharing of videos really secure.
In the past if a user wanted to share a video with some one without making it visible for others then Unlisted mode was selected rather than Public which made that video available for any one to see. In this Unlisted mode anyone who had the link could view the video.
Unlisted Mode was not secure because if that link got leaked then any one whom the owner do not wanted to see the video, could have access to it.
Now to cover that flaw Google has introduced a New feature.
Google Introduced Private Sharing
Now you can share your video specifically with the people you chose. You do not have to put your video on listed and share its links.
Share Privately
After you upload your video and are switched to Visibility page. Now you will see "SHARE PRIVATELY" option below Private Option just like image below.
If you set your video to Private and choose option SHARE PRIVATELY then you will see the following window Pop-Up
In this Video you can invite any one or lets say give access to chosen people only. In Invitees section, you will enter the email of those you want to access the video.
Only invited people will have access to the video which makes it more secure than Unlisted option. If video gets leaked here than you will know that who might responsible.
It is a good option to share your videos with your colleagues, checkers and review teams before finally making it public.
