What is Webp Image?
Webp is a new image format which is being developed by google. Google acquired this technology with purchase of On2 tecnologies.
According to Google's measurements, if you convert Png in to a WebP then size of the file will be reduced to 45%, So if you convert all your Web pngs in to Webp format then you are going to save a lot of space. But if you stay with png format and recompress them with png crush or pngout then you will save only 28% of the space.
In a comparision between these famous formats gifs, png and webp, it was seen that apng kept lower file size but very less equal quality.

Method 1 - Run image.Webp image Via Windows Paint.
- Open Paint
- Drag and Drop | Open your file in Paint.
- Now click file and Save As Jpeg Picture or any other format you want.
- After saving as Jpeg now you will be able to open the New Format in Adobe Photoshop.
If you do not want to change the format and open original Webp in Adobe Photoshop use the following Method. Which is easier and time saving.
Method 2 - Run .Webp image Via AdobePhotoShop Plugin.
First download Plugin for Adobe PhotoShop from link Below.
Click here to Download Plugin
After downloading Unzip.
Now choose your version 32-bit or 64-bit. Copy the main plugin file.
Paste the plugin file in Installation directory of Adobe Photoshop.
By default the directory for latest Adobe PhotoShop CC 2019 is
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Plug-ins
If you were running Adobe Photoshop just restart it. Enjoy.
